NULLA FERMA DORIGONI CHE SI IMPADRONISCE DELLA MX DEL SALENTO

Weekend di doppi appuntamenti quello appena passato, la squadra si è divisa per fronteggiare molteplici avversari tra MTB Garda Marathon e Marathon del Salento. I più giovani, Jakob Dorigoni e Andrea Candeago, si sono diretti in Puglia, alla ricerca del bis, dopo la vittoria della scorsa stagione proprio di Andrea Candeago.
I due campioni nazionali Diego Rosa e Peeter Pruus sono rientrati alle corse alla MTB Garda Marathon, una dura prova di avvicinamento agli appuntamenti più importanti.
Il massimo impegno di tutti i rider ha dato buoni segnali, ma soprattutto hanno portato un’altra vittoria al team. Alla Marathon del Salento Jakob Dorigoni ha siglato il suo primo successo di questa stagione, dopo 73 km e qualche errore di percorso, il numero dieci della Cape Epic, si è impossessato della testa della gara dall’inizio, evitando i rischi e avvantaggiandosi su tutto il gruppo.
Con un gap di oltre 1 minuto sugli avversari Jakob sembrava poter arrivare in solitaria sul traguardo della Marathon del Salento, ma un errore di percorso ha annullato questo vantaggio. La grande freddezza del bolzanino gli ha permesso di recuperare il margine, rientrare sulla testa e sprintare sul rettilineo del kartodromo per conquistare la vittoria. Una grande prestazione arricchita dal terzo posto di Andrea Candeago (1° tra gli Under23), la sua prova segnava il rientro alle competizioni e questo terzo posto dimostra il perfetto recupero dall’infortunio.
Anche Diego Rosa e Peeter Pruus rientravano alle competizioni con la MTB Garda Marathon, i due rider esperti si sono misurati con un percorso severo in cui hanno cercato di trovare lo spunto per acciuffare un risultato.
I due rider, reduci entrambi da infortuni in marzo, hanno lottato a denti stretti tagliando il traguardo nella top10 di questa competizione, con il 10° posto di Diego Rosa, seguito a pochi secondi dal compagno Peeter Pruus.
I due hanno levato la ruggine mentre ci si avvicina agli appuntamenti importanti di questa stagione. Dal nord invece Casey South, vittima di un violento incidente stradale mentre si allenava è riuscito a risalire sui rulli per iniziare il suo recupero, lo svizzero dovrà affrontare ancora un periodo di riabilitazione ma si dice voglioso e motivato di riunirsi al gruppo.
