At IBF2026, Torpado unveils the new full-suspension e-enduro bike, featuring a Toray T700 monocoque carbon frame and 160 mm of travel: race-bred technology for riders who refuse to settle.

You’re on the bike. Your knees react to the terrain before your eyes have even had time to process it. Your breathing becomes laboured, your forearms start to burn. You know that moment when the line stops being a choice and becomes instinct? It’s there, somewhere between a root that’s just a little too exposed and a blind jump, that the new AMB-X comes to life: not simply an e-bike, but Torpado’s answer to those who seek absolute freedom in the descent.

At the heart of this new flagship is the Avinox M2S motor, a feat of engineering delivering an impressive 150 Nm of torque in just 2.59 kg: a figure that redefines the relationship between power output and perceived lightness on the bike. Power comes from an 800 Wh Avinox battery, providing the range needed to tackle full days on the trails without compromise, while the Avinox DPC 100 display, with Bluetooth connectivity, keeps every parameter under control through a clean, intuitive interface.

But it is the frame that truly reveals the character of the AMB-X. Built entirely from Toray T700 monocoque carbon — a material of choice in aerospace and motorsport thanks to its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio — the enduro chassis is designed to withstand the demands of the most technical descents while delivering surgical precision and instant responsiveness to the rider.

The Absolute Ice finish gives the frame a cool, minimalist aesthetic that lets the substance speak for itself. Under the light, the frame reveals its most distinctive texture: a material effect reminiscent of the surface of freshly formed ice, fragmented into irregular geometries that catch the light from every angle. A deep, almost glacial blue is crossed by lighter veins that resemble crystallised frost over the carbon fibre. The result is a surface that changes character as the light shifts, alternating between muted reflections and glass-like highlights, making every single frame unique.

When it comes to suspension, the AMB-X leaves nothing on the table: the Fox 36 Performance fork provides 160 mm of front travel, paired with a Fox Float 230 x 57.5 mm rear shock, delivering terrain control that transitions from maximum absorption to efficient pedalling in a single movement. All of this is built around a Boost platform, ensuring high torsional stiffness and stability at speed.

The drivetrain follows the same philosophy of precision. A Sram GX AXS T-Type 12-speed rear derailleur with wireless controls, an XS 1270 T-Type 10-52 cassette, and an FSA 36-tooth crankset make up a system designed for riders who demand instant shifting, even under load.

Braking performance comes courtesy of powerful Magura Louise Elite Sport brakes with 203 mm rotors front and rear, providing confident modulation even on the steepest descents.

The build is completed by 29-inch Fulcrum F-Metal tubeless-ready wheels, fitted with Continental Kryptotal 29 x 2.40 tyres offering aggressive grip across every type of terrain; a KS Vantage Remote dropper post with adjustable 110/140/170 mm travel; and a Selle Italia X-Bow saddle, designed to provide comfort on pedalling sections while allowing maximum freedom of movement on the descents.

With the AMB-X, Torpado is doing more than introducing a new e-enduro bike: it is raising the bar for an entire segment, bringing top-tier components and high-level engineering solutions together in a project designed specifically for the most demanding riders.

THE BOSCH PARTNERSHIP BRINGS THE NEW HYPER-R AND ALTITUDE TO LIFE

Among its other new products, Torpado announces a new range of Bosch-powered bikes for the 2027 line-up, equipped with motors from Bosch, one of the world’s most recognised and trusted standards in the e-bike sector.

The move is part of a broader process of qualitative and distribution growth that the brand has been pursuing for several years, with Bosch becoming a new key technical partner as the company moves from 2026 into 2027. The choice of this manufacturer is no coincidence: Bosch was among the first companies to believe in and invest in electric bicycle drive systems, helping to establish the technical and reliability standards that the market now recognises as a benchmark. For Torpado, therefore, this partnership represents a natural step, consistent with its ambition to offer increasingly robust and distinctive products.

The partnership with Bosch is not merely a technical choice, but also a strategic driver for distribution. Through this collaboration, Torpado aims to expand its commercial reach, strengthening its presence in markets where drivetrain reliability is an essential purchasing criterion: Austria, Switzerland, Germany and, more broadly, Northern Europe.

From a technical standpoint, the Italian brand has chosen to focus exclusively on higher-capacity batteries, designed for riders seeking maximum possible range. The Hyper R e-MTB, for example, features an integrated 720 Wh battery, while the trekking/urban range will be equipped with an 800 Wh battery. It is a deliberate choice driven by the desire to appeal to the most demanding and mileage-hungry riders — those for whom the number of kilometres available on a single charge can genuinely make the difference between a ride and an adventure.

As already mentioned, the new range includes the Hyper R hardtail and the Altitude men’s and women’s trekking models. Both share a clean, essential design while retaining a strong focus on styling. The Hyper R, for example, features marbled detailing designed to position the brand at a higher level than in the past, reflecting a steady evolution that can be seen both in its technical specifications and its attention to aesthetics.

From a construction standpoint, the frames are made from triple-butted aluminium, with smoothed, filled welds or blended finishes for a cleaner appearance. The geometry remains classic, with head angles designed to give riders immediate confidence and predictable handling from the very first metres in the saddle.

The component specification follows the same philosophy: Suntour air-cartridge suspension, together with Shimano drivetrains and brakes. These are deliberate choices, reflecting Torpado’s commitment to relying exclusively on recognised brands synonymous with quality.

With this new motorised range, Torpado confirms a clear direction: that of a company that has consistently worked in recent years to raise the level of its products, both technically and aesthetically, choosing partners and components capable of expressing this evolution.
